This is the second women's fiction novel in a series set in the 90s about a heroine who is an ex-fitness instructor and occasional personal trainer. She is trying to make a comeback in her professional career as a temporary pet sitter while maintaining her romantic relationship which has become a bit stale. She is obsessed with croissants and pet sitting cats is more of a job than she bargained for in this comedic, fast-paced adventure. This books is great for travel or at home with a glass of wine in hand.
A reader of the book said:
"I recently came across Croissants, Caramel Clusters & Catastrophes, and I just had to reach out because WOW. What a wildly funny, nostalgic, and sneakily profound ride you’ve created. From the moment I met Tatiana and her chocolate croissant obsession, I knew I was in for something both hilarious and human.
You’ve captured the late '90s with such cheeky, vibrant detail the skorts, the Spice Girls, the self-help-as-satire vibes all while telling a story that is, underneath all the feline chaos and fitness flashbacks, deeply about reinvention, second chances, and owning your mess. Tatiana is delightfully imperfect and endearingly unfiltered, and Crumbs? That cat is basically a four-legged scene-stealer.
It’s rare to find a story that blends laugh-out-loud absurdity with heartfelt self-awareness so seamlessly. You’ve written something that feels like Bridget Jones meets Eat, Pray, Love… if it were set inside a yoga studio with a litter box."
